Woohoo just got my dt990 pro's today. It was a tough last three hours at work once I had seen they had been delivered...hehe.
Anyways, this is my introduction into head-fi and I so far it sounds great
. I couldn't really decide between all the different headphones out there. I knew I wanted open cans after listening to senn 580s at a local store. No more closed back phones for me. I read tons of reviews and I decided to go with the dt990's as I had seen them described as being between the dt770s and dt880s as far as performance. Becuase I listen to so many different types of music this middle ground seemed like the best choice. It transitions well between hip hop, metal, rock, electronic...I love te bass of the beyer's. Well its gonna be a long night of listening. My ipod is doing fairly well in pushing these and I am still waiting for my PA2V2 any day now.
