got it at the dollar store for a buck. used a cheap soldering gun to make holes. isnt the most graceful thing, but it works swell.

That was industrious of you. I'm wondering why you used a soldering gun to cut out the holes. Wouldn't a scissor or razor have been more precise?

A soldering iron would "cauterize the wound" sealing it as it cuts.

One could have cut it first then seal it with the solder iron, I suppose.

Using a soldering iron to cut nylon rope while sealing the ends is done quite often.

yeah i tried cutting using an exacto and razor. no luck. this was the way to go, sloppy as it is. i wanted to maybe sew some edging on to make it look nice. but havent had the time. my screen is normal.. just a flash effect.
