Also I know I'll be watching every episode several times, so might as well watch it in HD every time. I made the mistake of watching a SD YouTube version of last week's episode, then had to watch it again at 720p and again at 1080p. The 1080p was definitely worth it.
 
I'm actually grabbing a >18GB copy of Season 1 from ponyarchive.org right now, to replace my 10GB copy I have right now. The 10GB version is 1080p, but has some ugly sharpening artifacts on eyebrows and stuff and there's a ghosting problem between frames in a lot of scenes. Storage is cheap, ponies are worth it.

I do the same thing with all my anime. When the 1080 hits the net it replaces the 720 original airings. It really does make a difference.

If anyone doesn't know/have it yet go check out [voodoopony] on bandcamp. 2 albums free of good mellow/chill stuff. A few little pony clips, but mostly instrumental. Was impressed.

Hmm, episode 1 and season 1 are all mkv, this one's mp4. I hope it doesn't have the same problems my current season 1 files have.
 
It's also considerably smaller, maybe lower FPS or more compression 

 
The quality's not great. I hope they upload a different one sometime. You should probably stick to the 720p version if you just want to watch it fast. Framerate is good though 29fps. I've waited long enough, time to watch it

It might make a difference but currently i only have a 720p monitor so i will stick with 720p. Even then i find it hard to find HD dual audio rips.
