So I've had my Senn HD580's for a while now, and the consequence of wearing hairgel has led to funky smell on the top fabric portion (not the earmuffs). There's no accumulation, just smell. I've tried water and soap and Orange TKO to no avail. What do you guys recommend I use to unfunkdify my headphones?

Hmmm, perhaps spray some febreze on it? I believe there should be a way to remove the headband for you to wash, but I'm not sure on that.

Short answer would be to stop smelling them!

The fix would be to replace the headband which can be had for 10 bux.

If it's anything like the HD280s, it's just a Ziploc-style fastener. But having never used a pair of HD580s, I couldn't really tell you.
