I had enough of having some of my headphones laying around the desk, so I set about finding something that could be used as a headphones stand. And being in Italy, what did I find? A pasta drying rack...

It's not exactly beautiful, but it's cheap and gets the job done while I gather the tools and materials to make something better.

If you are curious about its intended use, here it is.

Nice find!
Just the sort of thing I've been looking for myself. Not too bothered about looks, just as long as I can fit 4 or 5 pairs on the one stand without it toppling over.
Plenty of room on there to drape a few pairs of Iem' s as well if needed.

Got a feeling something like this might be a little pricey in the UK though, but I'm definitely going to have a search after seeing those pics.
Nice and functional ....
Thanks for posting this Ludoo.

If you click on the second image above, there's a link to a US online shop (I'm in no way affiliated with them, it only seemed fair to link the image owner) selling it for 40 USD. Or search Google for the product name, Marcato Tacapasta.

Very cool! I also notice that Ikea halogen lamp you've got there in the background- I've got the exact same lamp.

Hehe yes, that Ikea halogen is the KSC75 of lamps. Unbeatable price/performance ratio.

Well, I don't know about that, I only stressed a guy in the n-th household goods store I visited, until he came up with something suitable.

I had about the same idea but came up with a towel hanger.

You got sharp eyes.

"The Rough Guide to Reggae. Updated second edition".

It' supposed to be a good book, covering more than 30 years of Reggae, with lots of interviews, pictures, and records reviews. I gave it only a cursory glance, as I much prefer listening to music than reading about it, and my reading time is 99% for novels. The bookcase you see in the pic is mostly for books I don't use -- or did not like -- much. And in any case I mostly read ebooks these days...

If you want to borrow it I can send it to you, but I suspect looking around for a used copy would probably be cheaper. Let me know, in case...

I looked for one of those, but they either were too big, or too expensive. Or I don't have that many phones yet to justify one...

Edit: BTW, what are the phones in front in your pic? Are they Pioneer SE-Monitor10R? If so, how do they sound? I really like how they look.
