So I bought some Philips X2 from Amazon warehouse. Because Philips took 12 days to get back to me, they are now out of their 30 day warranty. Even if Amazon fulfilled it, it would take 5 days to send back, a week to process the refund, then 5 days for a new pair to arrive. Fixing it myself will take me 20 mins...

The headphone jack is faulty, you have to press the 3.5mm connector in and back and hold it there to get proper sound.

I thought it was the cable so spent 40EUR on a Forza cable...this does the same thing. Philips are sending me a new cable which I no longer need as it is not faulty but I will probably sell it to recoup some loss.

Now I have taken the earpad off and there are some screws. I am guessing the wires in the jack are loose so has anyone had this problem before, on any headphones, and soldered the wires back to how they should be?

Can you link me to pics etc? I don't even know what to type into google to find similar solutions.

Thanks!
