Thoughts?

My next investment: A better DAP player with the BEST sound reproduction (although the zen is very good).. i'm thinking an iaudio x5.

Anything else to make this setup even better without spending much?

Nice, I am also happy with my Creative n200. I have yet to get a nice set of phones... Looking at 880's as the price has become very attractive.

iRiver HXXX DAP's have good reputation for sound quality. Rockbox pushes it even further (gapless playback, 5 band parametric EQ, etc, etc). And if you remotely thinking about getting external DAC into your setup (you know how it goes here on Head-Fi

), you may consider getting either H140 or H120 model with optical in/out.

what's up with the 2nd post appearing before the first post? Not a first time either... forum bugs?

anyways, it's always sweet getting your first decent setup

I don't know enough about the audio tech specs to explain every detail.. but it sounds very clear and crisp. very warm sounding i think. the detail is outstanding and the bass is good too. Maybe this is just the beginning
