I've never ever owned or heard a pair of headphones past the HD 477s. My HD 595s just came in and breakoutbox sounds AWESOME. Not even amped or broken in, and running it off my shameful ALC650 integrated sound

. I'll have my cMoy sometime by Friday and an X-Fi Platinum on Christmas.

I can't wait for it all to happen with the burn-in and everything. It'll be insane.

Wow! If you think that sounds great un-amped and without break-in and lower quality source... then you just wait! I can already envision your wallet losing weight!

Get a soundcard! If you have a latop then the Philips Aurilium is ok, I am quite happy mine.

Haha. I've spent my first $400 already between the source, amp and headphones. Be glad we haven't dropped over $10,000 like some people

With your soundcard, you'll have a similar setup to mine. I can assure you, this will do very well with the HD 595. Enjoy!

If you listen real close in the background of your 595's, you'll hear the 650's calling your name. Of coarse you can't run 650's off just any old setup, oop's there's this weeks paycheck!

Hahaha, so true. That's ok, I don't have many other hobbies than computer hardware and audio, my wallet is used to it.

I am starting to hear annoying nuances from this cruddy source. It's providing next to nothing for amplification and just sounds unclean. Really can't wait for this X-Fi Platinum. When I hook these up to my HTS receiver, it's a whole other world in the headphones. All that combined with lousy variable bit-rate mp3's sitting somewhere around 128bit isn't helping either.
