Wow that looks great, my stock cable died on me, i've had to replace it a few times now, but i would love to make my own, could you give me a little more detail? about the cables, y splitter, or maybe even a website for where you got the cables and stuff.

the cable is mogami 2893 from here at £2.38 per metre
30-920 MOGAMI 2893 CABLE

the heatshrink can be had from loads of places.. but i would recomend 3:1 stuff for a nice tight fit and maybe use cotton tubing frmo the y split to the connectors as mines a little microphonic (mechanical noise when cable hits something)

the y split is from here, and is the 5mm white one

i only made mine as i wanted a 15foot cable with no extension on it and better quality than the hd580 stock. if you just want a replacement then go for the hd650 cable - much better quality
