So, I tought I should upload some photos of the condition of my Denon AH D1100 headphones after exactly 1 year of intensive use, and I mean intensive, like 10 hrs/day (or more). I've had them connected to my laptop, using them for everything (music, gaming, movies, etc), always used them inside the house, never stepped on them, never fell off the desk or anything like that to explain the cracks on them. The upper headband is in good condition, but seems like they used a very cheap plastic, the cracks are on both sides and I guess they'll snap anytime...

I'm happy with them, they still sound like on the first day, they fit perfect over my ears and are very confortable, and I really hope they won't broke soon. I don't know if to be dissapointed on the build quality or it's ok within the price range, but overall I'm happy.

Hey. OP here. Yes, sorry for not posting under spoiler =) Edited.

So, worst come to worst. Today I found out that in the last few weeks I was punching my poor laptop thinking that the headphones output jack was broken, when in fact the broken one was the headphones' jack... I used to press and move and rotate the male jack (headphones) inside the female jack (laptop) until finding the right position, but today it just died, I only manage to make it sound in the very background and only one side... My guess is that some cables inside the jack are cut and don't make contact very well.
I have a pair of cheap in-ear but the reason I bought the Denons was because in-ear headphones hurts my ear tragus.
God damnit Denon. I'm very dissapointed now.

I was THIS close to ordering a pair of these headphones and then, I read review after review of users saying the same thing about the D1100's.  Cracks and cracking headbands.

Would it really have cost Denon that much to go with thicker, more durable plastic?

SMH.
