Was listening to a song last night (L'arc en Ciel - Stay Away) and noticed that I enjoyed the song more on my speakers it just seemed faster and more dynamic. I use Ety ER4S which is just about the fastest phone you can buy.

It was bugging me so I did a time comparison between my computer and the iAudio M3. The song lasts for 3:59 and by the end the M3 was slower by 4 seconds! So i tried this with my gfs MPIO FL100 and that played at roughly the same speed as my computer but slower by only 1/2 - 1 second. Note I had exactly the same mp3 file on all sources. I actually tried another song with the same result.

Has anybody else had this problem with any of thier DAPs??? My 40GB M3 still has 9.8GB free..

My iRiver H-120 has a setting that allows music to be played at a faster or slower pace without changing the pitch. Is it possible your player has this feature, too? If so, check its setting.

It doesn't have a setting for slowing down playback unfortunately so it isn't this...

If you are using FLAC at a compression level higher than -2 (ie. -5, -3, -7) than it will play like that. Reencode the file to -2, -1, or 0. If that's not it, than I don't know what the problem is; that's never happened to me. Try a reset or even reformat the drive.

Yeah, i'd forgive it if it was FLAC but it's a 320CBR file. I have the same song as part of another compilation at 128kbs and it's exhibiting the same behaviour.

I'm running the latest firmware too... 1.35e

Anybody else?
