My Cat Suddenly Attacks Me!! HELP!!

Yeah, swing her tail down to the Vets for a CAT Scan, and only as a last resort consider the kitty Prozac daily dose, due to the possible/probable wicked side effect profile of any anti-depressants, without "talk therapy" their long term effectiveness is next to useless and probably more so harmful than disease ...

Give 'er a good talkin' to when she attacks and show 'er who's boss

My cat joined forces with my girlfriend's cat a few years ago. This could have spelled serious trouble. Fortunately, both being female, they must compete for the favor of the dominant male, Liono, leader of the Thundercats (me). To get anywhere with cats you must present yourself as a cat to them--really get inside their heads and sabotage them with empathy. Tuna Casserole has an intense desire to experience scents, so I often present her with various items to smell--open beverages, forks upon which there was recently food, lip balm, minty toothbrushes, my finger after I've licked it, or clementines. It's a fun game, and it demonstrates to her that I understand her need for olfactory sensations. Sometimes when she watches and sniffs at birds at the window, I come to watch them with her. Indeed, I actually improved my ability to sniff by emulating my cats; it's a highly efficient means of detecting odors, rude though it may be in some settings. I impressed my family by sniffing out bagels from inside a car while passing a bread delivery truck. Like children, cats crave boundaries, so I alternately ladle on affection and then show them who's boss. With Puddin' I mix equal time head bumping and botch skittling. Tuna Surprises likes to fetch rubberbands, but sometimes it's important to mysteriously interrupt the game and smother her. Good luck.

If you are someone who believes in a deity you can always pray for your cat. It is an option. .

That would be a real CATastrophe.........................

^ No good at all, a cat would have assessed and found a weakness in that armouring within seconds

Your cat could be confusing you with the undead.

If you're not letting her out at night, I would suggest that you start doing so immediately, and every night. Cats are Natural Born Killers of the highest order, and they need to get it out of their systems on nightly nocturnal murder sprees, especially when they are young. Letting her out regularly at night to hunt will keep her from attacking you, and it will keep her weight in check as well. Worst case is she won't come back, either way your problem would be solved. If she is currently "trapped" inside your dwelling at night without being able to be her naturally predatory self, her behavior will be dysfunctional with you, her jailer. Anyways I hope it's not a brain tumor, hopefully it's just instinctive behavior that needs to be expressed in a more healthy fashion.

Perhaps some music would help?

Sounds like a tumour or mental disease.

If a cat is hurt they try to hide. They may attack you as a last resort if you approach them but they don´t activelly try to hunt you down.

It´s certainly not normal behaviour for a domesticated cat to turn feral.

As for domination I have never had to put any stronger measures then strategic yelling or grabbing their neck when they do something wrong. Grabbing their ears is pretty muchthe worst thing you can do to a cat. Seen the mother do that trick when she get annoyed by her son which she get pretty much constantly

They are very awhare of what they can and cannot do... That doesn´t stop them from doing illegal stuff when you are not watching and then giving you the innocent gaze when being caught
