I like my Hornet/AKG 701 combo and want something nice for the road to upgrade from my E2C.

Not the ER4P/S??? That would be the portable equivalent of a K701. If not, then go for the E4C, although the rolled off highs may perturb you.

Amazon.com has the ER4P for only $155.
