I am not sure if you guys like this player.
I found it is pretty good on sound. Very smooth sound I would say.
I bought one from ebay and the battery is degraded.
Since I need to open it up to change the battery,
I deceide to change it to compact flash also.

You will need an adapter that basically converts the Compact Flash to a hard drive the Karma uses. These can be found on eBay. That's basically it, I believe. If the Karma uses weird screws, you need a screwdriver that opens up the screws too.

I will be modding my H120 with the CF mod as well, and since I'm out of money, I can't really do anything until I get a job for the funds unfortunately.

I've always wanted a Rio Karma, but I held off years ago waiting for the next Rio player to come out. When Rio closed down, Trekstor sort of picked up where they left off, but the Vibez just does not appeal to me as much.

Maybe I should pick up a Rio Karma from eBay or something. I remember years ago when I put my hands around a MODEL of one at a Circuit City and was in love.

Crossfading, native FLAC/OGG support, the glowing blue dock, the good sound quality, ooh baby!

I once held a Karma, but that was way before I discovered Head-fi. I recall my friend saying that her Karma died, and since I discovered Head-fi, I kept telling myself to tell her to take care of the Karma. I wonder if she still has the Karma...

by the way, this player has amazing EQ. You can boost very low frequency with no distortion. Sweet!

Now I can put 32gb flac on it. So Cool!!

writing files is kind of slow. same speed like the small flash player.
But Boot up and shutdown speed is faster than hard disk.
