Here is my 2nd PC build. There were only a couple of problems with the build and they were related to the motherboard. The manual had incorrectly identified the USB header which was actually a firewire header. Thankfully I only fried a cheap card reader. After this mishap I went on the EVGA forums and found that people had fried their IPODs, ouch! Another problem was that the drivers that came with the motherboard did not work for me. The PC would blue screen. I downloaded some new drivers and everything is fine now. Oh, and I really didn't like the brackets to hold the memory fan in place. Whoever designed it should be bitch slapped!

Here are the specs.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

I've had little but headaches with my 4th gen self built PC since I bought the parts last month. RAM and Monior back on RMA this week. Hope that you stay problem free.

Looks Nice!

My dad has that same case...and card reader...and 2 similar Samsung DVD burners, and similar motherboard. I was really confused when I saw it, because I knew he wasn't ever on this site, and was kinda creeped out. But I also knew that he doesn't have a Micro Stack. He does have a pair of HD414's, though.

Does every 750i board have problems of some sort? I can't run Nvidia Monitor without blue screening every time, and I'm pretty sure we determined it was the fault of the motherboard.

So, I take it you are not a gamer.

Total damage is around $1200 for the PC. Add another $400 for the monitor.

No, I am not a gamer so I wanted a card with HDMI out and a monitor with HDMI in. My first build has a Nvidia 8800GTS card in it which I never played a game on.

What is that thing that looks like three small fans? If it is three small fans what is it cooling? It looks like it is sitting over the typical location of the RAM.

Can you post Speedfan or PC wizard numbers for CPU/Mobo/HD temperatures and fan speeds?

BTW. How many fans, of which mm size, do you have in there and how quiet is the overall PC?

I have 3 - 120mm case fans. I have the front and back case fans set to high speed so there is some fan noise but it's not too bad.

I show the following in Speedfan.

System 127C
CPU 34C
Aux 32C
HD0 26C
Temp1 40C
Core0 44C
Core1 44C

Speedfan is off for 45nm CPU's, for yours it is 5C high, meaning your core temps are actually 39C.

Also, Id get rid of that rosewill PSU asap, theyve been known to kill systems. Most often, they use cheap/faulty caps, which let out in a surge all at once (think lightning bolt) Some have even caught fire.
Here is a pretty encompassing list of what to buy, and what not to buy.
