My 2g Ipod Nano started acting up lately and since it is way out of warranty, I am thinking of stepping to something else. I will probably order a SuperFreq in the near future and I was wondering what a good DAP would be to pair up with that. I am also considering a portable amp purchase (RSA Tomahawk perhaps) later this year.

I'm really not familiar with which DAPs have great SQ and I really need some enlightenment. I am willing to go up in size, I'm not stuck up on "mini" devices like the nano. Thanks in advance!

My Zune 2.0 8GB sounds pretty good with my UE Super.fi 5's.

2GB Sansa Clip, if you want small and great sound. Wow is all I can say, got mine yesterday (1GB model), just to see how it sounds (was $8 with Amazon gift certificate). Or go even bigger if they have 4GB Clip. It's so tiny, amazing.

Bite the bullet if you can afford it, and get a 16Gb iPod Touch. I have 39 complete albums in Apple Lossless plus almost three hours of video on mine.
