Hi guys, by any chance is there a way to reduce (or entirely eliminate) hiss from my headphone amp when using my customs? My inears have an impedance of 25ohms and sensitivity of 118dB, so they are fairly efficient and extremely sensitive. Would using an impedance adapter work or is there some other sort of add-on I could/should use?

For specificity's sake, I'm using 1964 quads into a Cafe Walter instrument amplifier

Thanks in advance :)

You can try an impedance adapter but probably won't make a big enough difference if any. Chances are you will need an amp that can handle sensitive customs without hiss.

Your Quads are 25 ohm and the link to your amp shows that it is not recommended by the manufacturer. It also mentions some kind of adapter but it may or may not solve the problem. From my experience the effect of that is minimal since customs in general are very sensitive. I'm not familiar with your amp however.
