The general consensus seems to be that the MX500 is a good replacement for the stock buds (unless I go with canal or head phones).

I guess I'll go get a set and check them out... if I'm in a good enough mood, I may even pick up a set for my sister, even though I couldn't talk her into trading her 4G iPod for my 2G

MX500 - highly recommended, especially with RS foamies.

Word of caution, check the volume control. On occasion it may inadvertantly move to the low position. I've adjusted the volume on the SR71 to past 12:00 then slid the MX500 volume up. OUCH, really loud!!! With the SR71/iPod/MX500 9 or 10 o'clock is perfect.

Anyone know when the MX550 comes state side???
