Hey i have these cushy soft headphones and have been listening to Einaudi with the volume low. I find it perfect to doze off to on a night. I would like recommendations of nice music to listen to and fall asleep to. No i dont mean boring stuff that bored u to sleep im talkin something soft, nice, peaceful. Like Einaudi.

What say the wise folk?

Tetsu Inoue:All of it (try Organic Cloud or Ambient Otaku first)

Brian Eno: All of it (try Ambient 1: Music For Airports first)

God Speed You Black Emperor: All of it

Mogwai: All of it

Boards of Canada: All of it

My wife and I really like falling asleep to Sigur Ros - () in particular.

I can't believe anyone can sleep to mogwai or GSYBE...the dynamic changes are so huge...one minute it is super quiet, and another it is incredibly loud -- would wake me up.
Windy and Carl is the ultimate sleep music -- good ambient droning with fairly consistent (but not compressed) volume levels...

i fall asleep to aarktica's album "pure tone audiometry" at least a few times every month. i still wonder what the end of the album sounds like.

I can NEVER fall asleep to music -- speakers or headphones. But if you want recommendations, perhaps you should check out what Steve Roach has to offer:

Dreamtime Return -- especially disc 2.
The Magnificant Void
Structure From Silence
Lost Pieces
Well of Souls -- with Vidna Obmana.
Dream Circle
Truth and Beauty: Lost Pieces vol. 2

His long-term collaborator Vidna Obmana has also put out some quality ambient music, recommended are River or Appearance and Subterraneous Collective

Definitely love that album. I need to buy it one of these days so I don't have to listen to the crappy mp3's.

My own recommendations:
Sigur Ros-()
Any Robert Fripp soundscape, Fripp/Eno's No *****footing

A couple years ago I fell asleep every night to music, but for some reason I stopped.
