for different music genres mainly rock, classical, jazz, pop, country, blues, punk and metal, what specific sound characteristic and sound signature should I look for in future headohones. For example I have heard jazz requires wide Soundstage, don't know how much that's true Sorry if it's a noob question but I am a noob in the headphone world

Perhaps for vocals you might want something midcentric (boosted mids).
For rock and pop maybe something V shaped (boosted bass and treble).
For classical you might want something more neutralish.
Maybe for bassforward music like EDM, you might want a boosted bass.

I'm a little opposite. I mainly listen to rock, and I don't like V shaped. I need those mids. Hard question to answer, as people prefer different things.
