Against my better judgement I picked up one to check out, along with a host of issues the thing just started smoking and smelling of burnt plastic, If it was possible to get one of these without its many issues it might not be a bad little amp sadly that was not the case for me, can anyone else share their experiences with the MK II model?

I have one. No, actually I have 2. The second one was suppose to be the replacement. However, it's still producing too much "hum" and "hiss" or noise. It could be some grounding issue or RF interference, my guess.
 
The gain on this thing is quite high. The volume pot also sucks, i get L-R imbalance for anything below 9 o'clock position. But at that position, it is way too loud for all my cans.  
 
The first one that came had a dead fly on the PCB and rusted components. I should have gotten a refund instead of a replacement.
 
Anyway, this is quite similar to the Indeed G2, in terms of PCB design.
 
I'm not electronically inclined, so for those who yearns for an adventure. Do get one yourself
