Does a thing exist?

My speakers are already powered, but I wouldn't mind having the ability to send sound to it from multiple sources (TV, videogames, ipod, etc.)

thanks.

Sure does.

They're commonly referred to as "passive preamps."

Here's an example from Goldpoint:

Thank you, should've known since I own a passive volume control.

Those prices on the other hand are outrageous ...

No, the Goldpoint's not cheap. It was simply a convenient example of what I was referring to. I can't think of any off the top of my head that are more reasonably priced, but if you Google "passive attenuator" I'm sure you'll find something a bit less expensive.

I found a cheap one by Pyle from BHPhotovideo. I may end up going for it. Although I'm not sure how good the brand is (I know they were horrible with car audio when I was into that years ago).

Most receivers/integrated amps will have a preamp output which should do exactly what you want. Find a used one for cheap.

Look up gaming peripherals. Keywords like game/system selector, switch, multi-game, etc. I got a Madcatz one several years ago (about $15) that's about the size of a hardcover book, and it has four inputs. No plug, nothing digital, just a physical switch.

edit: found a similar one to mine, Mad Catz Universal System Selector: Information from Answers.com
