My Alessandro MS-1 headphones came today. Paired with the Airhead 2AA that came on Friday I have a hard hitting combo. I'm impressed with the sound these cans deliver. You can feel the quick bass yet hear the low undistorted bass. I listen to Cradle Of Filth and feel the drums while hearing the bass guitar. The MS-1 is detailed and seems to do lows, mids, and highs very well for a sub $100 dollar headphone. I understand why people call this a rock headphone. The sound is very in your face while not being annoying. I've owned the SR-80 before and do not remember being as happy as I am with the MS-1.

BTW the amp really adds substance with these cans.

Line out usually sounds better than the H.out amped. The ipod owners think so in this particular. (consensus)

How do you add a line out to the iPod?

The ipod dock has a line out. Their are other portable options out there that hook up to the bottom of the pod and offer a line-out.
