So I came across this CD on Amazon and it has MQA on it. I thought MQA was a lossy compression format. Why would it be included on CDs? Would CDs with MQA still be a worthwhile buy?

Okay but that still does not answer why they would include MQA on CDs. CDs are supposed to be lossless or uncompressed audio.
CDs have had compressed audio in the past, DTS is an example.

MQA CDs might be interesting if you have compatible hardware. I do but most people do not. I plan on buying a couple if I see titles I want, just to hear what they sound like.

True MQA is lossy but it can also be highres. In this way it is somewhat similar to upsampling which is something Chord users for example pay big money for.
