Hi. I received a Mpx3, but I don't know which tubes go where.

It was described as Quote:

The tube compliment is 2 x 5687 and 1 x 6CG7

All the holes look the same. How do I know which the 6cg7 does/doesn't go into?

Left to right .... the gain tube for the 6cg7 is the first tube socket closest to the front panel.

The 6cg7 has nearly the same electrical specs as the 6sn7 and has been used in the Singlepower amps since the original ppx3 -6cg7. But the 6cg7 has a 9 pin mini base so you either have to have a mpx3 specifically built with a 9 pin mini / 6cg7 wired gain tube socket .... or use an adapter.

It is if your Singlepower is made for 6CG7. My MPX3 slam was 6CG7 -> 5687. I miss that amp.
