Mp3 player on the computer?

As far as sound goes? Generally, no. Most differences between players lie in the interface and other features.

Popular PC players around here are Winamp and Foobar (and to a somewhat lesser degree, iTunes and Windows Media Player). 99% of Mac users around here just use iTunes, to my knowledge.

Equalizer settings should be determined entirely on what you're listening through and your own ears.

Thanks.

This is a topic that has been beaten to death, see this thread still on the front page:

The bottom line comes down to preference, both Winamp and Foobar need tweaking after downloading, and when they are both properly configured there isn't much of a difference, just use whatever you like.
