Is it worth to buy MOTU Ultralite instead of Presonus Firebox for getting a better output sound quality?

why buy a pro sound card ? why not get a dac ? (usb or not)

I'm also interested in comparing these against each other AND the popular dac-headamps. For the price these go for espcially the presonus the recording option would be a great freebie for a noobie. First post by the way
