I actually own(ed) that. I asked for the similar "Jeep" model for Christmas (for the waterproof/sandproof aspect) and got that one instead. Luckily, someone gave me a much nicer (to the ears and eyes) Sony model, my first real CDP.

Is that an MX series boombox? If so, I have one of the original MX-1 units, which cost a cool grand back around 1990, took styling cues from Soundesign, and actually sounds good. Mine serves as the shop stereo. My daughter has a much later version, and despite the gooky styling, it sounds good too. Mine is a bit beaten up, but I wouldn't trade.
