Just wondering if there's a portable solution I'm not aware of that can adequately hit the lowest of lows on my Stealth. IFi Diablo, if you can find one that works at all w Stealth (turbo mode on battery = suddens hutdown until plugged into wall, I'm on my 6th replacement), can't quite seem to dig deep enough but that specs the highest output of any portable solution I'm aware of

Just to clarify, you had five iDSD Diablo replacements? If so, what was the issue?
Specifically, Dan Clark Stealth +5dB @105Hz low shelf = turbo mode causes Diablo to power off around 2o'clock on the volume dial. Will not power back on until plugged into wall.

Replacement #6 doesn't have this issue, instead after about 90 minutes of use the unit gets quite warm and I start getting bursts of what sounds like white noise during passages high in bass content.

I have a ticket open on it, but no reply in awhile. #3569

Edit: I was just able to catch it on video, attached. Check your volume before playing! This is after about 90 minutes of playback. This unit is quite warm, not unsafe but I could easily use it to keep my hands warm in winter. I tried measuring with a thermometer and got 99.7F; obviously part of that is my thumb's heat but I don't think it's far off

The Centrance Hifi M8 v2 XLR output 1.6W to 75 ohm, which translate to about 7.5W to 16 ohm which is more than 5W of the Diablo

Thanks! I hadn't heard of Centrance before, but just in a pre-order for the Ampersand.

I just watched that vid and something clearly isn't right. I trust that our support staff will get back to you shortly and please let me know if there's no progress on your ticket. Thanks!

Well, it's been 2 weeks since last reply from support staff so anything you can do to nudge it along would be appreciated. Thanks!

iBasso dx300 according to DCA.

It's like 3 phones together, works like almost like a tablet, wireless networking, storage, coax out, 2 dacs for balanced signal processing, etc audio stuff.

Most important it has 2 batteries, so your power is solid.

That's really weird behavior of iFi Diablo, sorry about that. Have you tried iFi iDSD micro Signature ?

Stealth is a low sensitivity headphone, you need a lot of current for Stealth.

If you have a big budget, I'd suggest C9. It has one of the best current output at low impedance, it is perfect for Stealth.
I pre-ordered an Ampersand during black Friday, expected to ship this month. If that falls through for whatever reason, C9 or BX2+ is plan B. TRD TK2 also looks appealing , perhaps too good to be true. 1.25W at 32ohm for only $270 is quite a deal. The only reason I think it may be possible, the exterior gives the impression they simply stole the BX2+ CAD file so almost 0 R&D cost!

Got it yesterday, it doesn't shut down or distort like the Diablo does but with BIG bass tracks the clipping is audible.

What are the specs of the ampersand? It said up to 4W in the product description page, but in the shop page it said it is rated up to 3W. And there's no spec sheet anywhere.
