DURABLE = last longer than one year with daily use.

My GF is on her SECOND pair of RE0s, each one lasting about 9-10 months before falling apart. Please don't recommend anything from them.

Any suggestions?

Have the turbines for 6 months
The headphone plug failed, the drivers fell out of the casings
I re-terminated it with a big golden plug
And super-glued the casings
They look indestructible now
But time will tell

Had cx300, ran over their cable with rollerblades - still work.
I did destroy one pair of cx300 - they got cleaned in a washing machine.
I don't like how they sound though.

The JVC FX500, HJE900 will last longer than many IEMs because they built well and cables on them are pretty durable, overall very good sounding IEMs with high quality material.

To this I'd add the Shure SE215. Great build. all three have a pretty different sound so you can pick out which one you prefer based on their specific sound sig.

The JVC FX500 are available on Seyo shop and price goes higher than i checked last time. Sony IEMs like EX510, EX310 are very well built and they sound great(detailed in mids, highs with deep punchy bass)with airy wide soundstage. Few more IEMs like Monster Turbine Pear, Turbine, UE700, HF3, Denon C551, C710, M2 and Westone 1.

I would suggest taking a look at anything from MEElectronics, I have a few different IEMs from them and they all have fantastic build quality.  The M11 is the best built IEM I have, and it's beautiful too.

Westone would be another company I might suggest, but the price might be a bit high.  I've had a pair of W2's, which I bought used, that went through the washing machine and still worked (kind of blew my mind, not sure how that happened).  I've use these things for a few hours a day, 5 days a week, and they are still going strong 6 months later.

This doesn't really match other impressions I've seen around here, but I wouldn't get anything sennheiser -- I've consistently had cable problems with their products including two different pairs of CX300.

Ety MC5 or HF5 will both last longer than a year.
