Im looking for the most airy headphone i could get.
Like i said, not in term of high freq. response but something that is comfortable even in hot days !! No real budjet limitation and 80% for gaming and DVD.For referance, i have Senn HD595 and found'em still to hot.
Thx !

Sony MDR-F1...since I am guessing K1000 is not something you are going to play with.

I'd consider a Grado SR60 or SR80 with Grado flats or Sennheiser HD414 pads (these are <$5 from B&H Photo). I use my SR60's for gaming and laptop movie watching and think they do well in those roles.

They are very light and comfortable imo. My only beef with Grado comfort is the bowl pads. Flat's sit on the ear (supra-aural) and let your ears breath more than around the ear phones (circumaural).

Also, since Grado has introduced a "new" line of phones, sales are common.

x2, AD700 earpads feel the same as the 595 you currently have. Grado's are also good to wear on hot days.

Want Airy headphones, I'd say ignore the AD700 suggestions.

The AD900-AD2000 are the most airy headphones from Audio Technica. On the AD900s, the filter can be easily removed to the drivers like the AD1000/AD2000. Just there it seems to me to prevent dust getting in, as the sound SQ doesn't change when you remove the filter. I don't think you could get more Airy than the AD2000, look at those mofos.

Don't see how you can go much wrong with the AKG K1000.
Über airy, comfortable (user dependent I think), and suitable for warm days since it don't close in the ear at all.

AD700 (or any open AT for that matter ) people - seriously now...open ATs and open Senns are equally exposed.

On the case of Grados - ya, they breath well. They are less comfortable due to pressure on ears (but their light weight may make up for it...or at least with Headphile C-Pads which should solve all comfort problems).

The most airy headhones I had, were the AKG K-400. They are no more in production, but worth seeking a used pair.
