Hey guys... I found this link.
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip...HowTo_Main.htm

What I would like to know, is which RCA's would be best, with my to-be gilmore amp, and does the kind of solder matter? That may seem like a dumb question, but if you invest so much in an rca, would any type of solder do? I really, really don't want to go ahead and mess up a nice table. If no one has an answer, would you suggest somewhere I look?

Thanks, later...

It doesn't matter that much. Just use silver content solder and standard gold RCA's and you should be fine.

mjg: Well, mm cartridges are sensitive to capacity - so if you want to use an mm pickup, you should prefer a cable with a low pf/m rating. Mc cartridges react more sensitive to impedance, so in that case, a low mOhm/m rating is more important.

Greetings from Munich!
