Not again!

What do you set your mx500's volume at? I've read that people are setting the volume on the cord to about half way and increasing the volume on the source. Some are just setting the volume to max on the cord. Does it really make a difference like the Er-4p to er-4s?

yeah it makes a very very very tiny difference. I set it at max usually tho, I hate it when I set the volume at max by accident and suddenly get a 100dB blast...

Last night, I taped the slider down in a position a little above middle. That would solve that problem. The little slider can pop out pretty easily I noticed also, so it might solve two problems! I guess my deal is whether to tape it down at the max or the middle.
