The Silver Dragon V1 IEM headphone cable is the baby brother to the Silver Dragon Headphone cable.
We have designed it for use with FitEar Custom In Ear monitors or IEM's where light weight and flexibility are a must! No flimsy or stiff cables are made here at Moon Audio.

This custom iem headphone cable will open up your Custom In Ear Monitor's and let them breathe easier.

It provides a more musical presentation and sound stage depth. You will hear more clarity, instrumentation and musicality.

Throw out that cheap stock cable and bring your Custom IEM's here to Moon Audio!!

"The Silver Dragon JH3A Cable and Silver Dragon IEM Cable gives a +3db increase in input sensitivity across the entire frequency range and much greater detail than any other cable."

Jerry Harvey, JH Audio, RMAF 2012

"Moon Audio's Silver Dragon line, specifically their IEM and LOD cables, are an essential component of my portable audio rigs. I use the IEM cables with my JH Audio JH-13 Pros, my reference (a sonic marriage made in heaven by the way) and the LOD cable on my iPod Classic and iPad2. I'd love to take credit for discovering these fantastic cables, but I have Jerry Harvey of JH Audio to thank for that. Now, when the founder and lead designer of your favorite IEM tells you to check out a particular set of cables, saying they enhance the performance of his product, it's advisable to follow his instructions.

If making deep connections with your music is important...products like the Silver Dragon cables can act as a conduit to that grand connection. I'm never giving mine up, and I recommend you check 'em out if personal audio is part of your listening experience." Michael Mercer, Positive Feedback, Issue 64, November/December 2012

Description

This cable has specific connections for the FitEar in ear monitors or iem's.

The Silver Dragon IEM is a coaxial design using a 99.99998% UP-OCC Stranded Silver 26AWG center conductor for the positive leg. The center conductor uses the same Kevlar reinforcing as the other Dragon cables. The center conductor is wrapped concentrically by a 99.99998% UP-OCC silver plated single crystallized UP-OCC pure copper stranded 26AWG gauge conductor with 7N purity 99.99998%. Now that is a mouth full:)

The left and right signal cables run parallel to each other resulting in a very low inductance. Both signal jackets are polyethylene and the cable is extremely flexible yet very resilient and resistant to flex failure.

A variety of connection options are available for your downstream connection such as the mini plug, RCA, XLR and many others.

We custom build these in house to your connection specification. The cable can be used in either a single ended or balanced design. The wire is soldered to a connector using high quality Cardas silver solder.

Connection Arrangement

Red is Right Channel

Blue is Left Channel
Dots always should be pointing in upward direction.

"Drew, I just wanted to tell you how pleased I am with this cable on my new Freqphase JH Audio 13's. The improvement to the clarity of these new phones was only magnified by this cable.
It did so without altering the tonal balance, and added a sense of refinement to the sound.
They are not floppy flexible like some others but they are perfectly manageable and don't tangle or spring back at you when coiled like other cables I've tried.
Well done. "(Posted on 12/6/12) Todd R.

I have the FitEar MH334 Custom Ear Monitors so this is the only pair I have personal experience with. It (the Silver Dragon V1 IEM Headphone Cable) is a fantastic match for the music types I listen to and the amp I use with them.

Thank You.

Is there a big different between this cable and the Shure se846 stock cable in term of sound quality?

This Silver Dragon iem cable is made for the FitEar iem's.  If you are looking for a Shure SE846 replacement cable, please see this link below for the Silver Dragon IEM Cable for Shure earphones.

Got the silver dragons for my se846s last week with balanced connectors for the Pono. Really happy with the sound and the build quality, much better than the stock cable. Because I went from single ended stock to balanced silver dragon, hard to do a clean compare. But suffice to say I am happy with the purchase. (Thanks Drew also for the EL8, loving them so far).

Did you hear a noticeable difference after purchasing this cable? I've been contemplating about getting a pair.

I did but couldn't tell if cable or balanced inputs. I do like the cable though - far better feel than the stock cable.

Recently acquired the Silver Dragon cable V1 for my molded Unique Melody Miracles IEM's.  Replaced the stock cable.

Not sure if the talk about burn in is real or BS but I have had the Miracles running on pink noise off and on for about 40hrs now.

In between the burn in I have been for my daily 1 hr walks and given them a run.    The Miracles are a lovely smooth sound IEM.  It is very even sounding and simply reproduces what it is given without flash or fan fair.

I'm using an ibasso dx80 DAP with current Lurker software playing flac files at mostly 16/44.  Some 24/96 thrown in.

SD vs The stock I would suggest the sound is more open and very 'liquid'.   It just seems to flow effortlessly.    No harshness and certainly not fatiguing in any way.   There is a wonderful depth to the vocals and the soundstage is beautiful.    Female vocals such as Adele and Rebecca Ferguson are glorious.   The Miracles are great for vocals and they do get pushed forward which I like.

Moon Audio suggested 60hrs of burn in so if it gets better from here I will be more than content.

Very happy with the purchase.

I have now hit the 60 hr mark for burn in and the SD is still sounding damn fine.

One tweak I might recommend, that IMHO has had a great effect on the SQ, is the use of some Deoxit Gold G5.

I have had a spray tin of this product for many years and I use it on all my audio connections.   It seems to be highly regarded in the audio world.

I put some on the 3.5 connector and the 2 pins of each cable end before reinserting them into the Miracles.    It seemed to add a wonderful richness to the sound and some improved bottom end.

Great bit of gear and well worth the price of purchase.
