Monster Beats' style

It's my understanding that the Monster Beats company is hated by anybody who knows a thing or two about sound quality. But there is no denying that they are aesthetically pleasing. A lot of the high end headphones look either sci-fi or the styling doesn't xntend at all beyond functional. As somebody who does actually care about sound quality, I am looking for some headphones that are pleasing to the eye but also give me a nice sound. Price isn't *too big a factor.

DJ style headphones are a preference as I work a sound board on occasion and I enjoy the luxury of comparing sound through the board and through the house without having to wear the headphones. But this is not a requirement.

Not dj phones but hd598s look great imo.  Also I honestly am probably not the best person to comment because I do not prefer the look of beats over other phones.  I think AKG and Grado look the best overall tbh.

I take it you're looking for closed-back, circumaural headphones, but what genres are important to you?

The Pioneer line of DJ headphones looks great IMO. I've heard the HDJ500 and HDJ1000 briefly and they sound ok.

Circumaural headphones, yes. I listen to a good variety of music. Hip hop and Alternative mostly, Classical and indie crap often and I podcast talk radio quite a bit.

When I mix on a sound board I am seldom mixing the type of music I listen to recreationally, so I would like to have headphones with a flat EQ and leave the mix to my player. It's important to have flat EQ headphones anyway when comparing to in house and in board. 
 
EDIT: those Pioneer DJ headphones look pretty good. Does head-fi approve?

If you actually felt the flimsy plastic of the beats' frames you wouldn't think they were too aesthetically pleasing.  Just looking at their plastic build myself makes me throw up.
 
I really enjoy the look of the brass-trimmed skullcandy aviators though, although those are rather flimsy too.

I think these look nice, also, the V-moda crossfade LP2 can be customized on their plates.
