k i got great isolation with the bigger tips for the turbines. but i put bigger ones on the bose IE2's also and those increased tenfold as well. they sound really similar to me...and actually the bose are louder at the same volume which is interesting because the turbines are actually in the canal. a lot better isolation with the turbines though. i honestly can't really tell the difference in SQ and bass between the two. the soundstage almost seems better for the bose.

Probably not. They are $40 though.

Just the build quality. They do come with a 90 day warranty, so if you receive them trashed or if they dont sound quite right, I'm sure Monster would replace them.
