Monitoring Headphone + Interface recommendations

Hey guys,
 
im currently looking for a combo of monitor headphones and audio interface, budget is ~250€.
Initially i wanted to buy a pair of HD650 but due to other things coming up just have that amount of money left.
The interface doesnt really need a ton of features, i guess a dedicated knob for the headphone volume would be great tho, same as xlr in and ofcourse it needs to be able to drive the cans.
(I reckon almost all interfaces are able to do that nowadays ;p)
Open back would be cool, but im considering any pair at this moment aswell as purchasing used.
I'll mainly use the cans for mixing & sound design.

I doubt that a lot of interfaces will drive the 650's very good. I don't think they would be a good choice for monitoring but not being a recording engineer so I could be wrong. For the most part you want a fairly neutral headphone and the 650 is not that the 600 comes a little closer. The Emu 0404 USB has a pretty good DAC and phantom power for condenser mic's and drove my HD-280 Pro's very well. It can be had on eBay pretty cheap also.

Im thinking about German Maestro Gmp 400, can you recommend anything that can drive the 300 ohm and is reasonably priced?

If you are looking for a amp sure but for a recording interface I'm not sure. Others might be able to help but my knowledge on interfaces is limited. The Emu and the Roland I had powered the 280's with ease but they are 64ohm cans so I'm not sure. It did not run my Alpha Dogs well at all but the 50 ohm planar magnetic is a totally different animal.

I have the 650s and yes are amazing. If its a little too much of a stretch then check the bayer DT770 or the new pioneer reference headphones which are very nice to be fair. My mackie big knob powers the 650s fine but my focusrite scarlett doesn't do the job at all. U will need an amp for alot of AIs but a cheapish amp would be ok as long as it's not too cheap and going to colour ur sound.
