Is it really bad to place my monitor on top of my new DAC?

Sometimes I wonder if this place has induced a severe paranoia into people, making them worry about anything that could possibly affect sound quality. A little uncommon sense would tell you that the monitor is spreading its weight evenly across the top of the chassis. The monitor does not get hot, nor is the top of the chassis used for ventilation.

The monitor weighs a good 11.5 pounds. That's probably the only thing I'm concerned about.

I never weighed mine, but I didn't think it'd be 5 kg. It's a 22", mind. In any case, the weight is resting evenly, and is also resting on the side panels of the chassis. It'll most likely hold.
