2 years ago, the M^3 was the ducks nuts as far as DIY amps went.

I've just acquired a used Raptor for my main system. The Raptor easily bests my M^3.

As far as DIY goes, AMB's Beta 22 seems to be the latest and greatest, and will almost certainly be my next DIY project. At the moment, I'm undecided between going balanced or single ended.

Yup, I know about the Beta22 but I don't have the skills to tackle something like that yet, and a commisioned build is a bit out of my price range. That one's for the horizon.

Balanced requires major upgrades all down the line, too :[

If you can afford it though, I say go balls out.
