You have to be practically on the same room with the AP to get less RFI RX noise from WiFi

If it helps, this is what my playout chain looks like - you can ignore the analogue side…Could you kindly write up what your chain from dac to the router and from router to the pc / roon core exactly is![]()
I don’t think error correction is the right way to discuss the issue as both Wifi and Ethernet have sufficient error correction and retransmission protocols to provide bit perfect delivery assuming adequate data receipt buffers. Isn’t the difference not data delivery per se but more potential EMF noise and streamer and/or intermediary switch noise suppression differences at the DAC stage between an air gap connection like wireless (but possibly suffering from electrical / RF noise from the antenna) versus a wired connection between devices and the potential electrical noise passed between those hardwired devices. Essentially all the interconnects have cons - optical transport doesn’t suffer from EMF but can be prone to jitter at the inevitable light pulse to electrical conversion point. Wifi provides an air gapped “circuit” between sending and receiving devices, includes bit stream EC and buffering, but can suffer from RF noise at the aerial, and wired Ethernet also has EC and buffering at the bit stream level but is still establishing a (albeit low voltage) physical electrical circuit between the connected devices through which electrical noise may pass and potentially impact the critical DA stage in the DAC.Exactly what I did - bought a couple of FMCs and

Sorry, they changed the url..:Thx! The link is dead it seems though
. The vocals with Tambaqui on Immanis are pretty intoxicating. With Immanis you truly get the sensation of being in the room with the performer being able to tell the distance of each instrument in the 3d-space, it’s a wild sensation.
Now I really got to hear @Aetherhole ’s tambaqui soon.

Same here!
Can you count me in as well? I wouldn't mind a trip to LA anywayKevin and Carlo, you guys are welcome over to my place anytime!

I'd love if anybody with this gear was situated in Europe...Kevin and Carlo, you guys are welcome over to my place anytime!
I'd love if anybody with this gear was situated in Europe...Either way that will not stop me from upgrading to your fabulous amp and dac combo later this year. I'm loving both pieces aesthetically and sonically (from what I know about them so far as I did not listen to either of those, hopefully in May in HIGH END Munich).
I liked your Rockna Wavedream Signature vs MMT comparison posts and those (with a few very similar others) made me change my mind from Rockna which I was aiming for originally. Both the Cayin Soul and the Mola Mola are striking in appearance! They both sound extremely good, too. Always tough to try to demo things properly and sometimes we take a blind leap. I definitely did with the Tambaqui and am most certainly glad I did. Certainly taken my fair share of blind leaps and missed the mark, though.
