ModMic 4.0 connection to pc.

If you only have one mic input on your PC, and as you say the amp/dac doesn't have one, I don't see an obvious solution here. A 3.5mm mic jack can only really go in one place. I was in the same boat, my motherboard mic connection was rubbish, so I got a USB mic instead, which works flawlessly.

Have you tried playing with the mic settings in Windows to see if that will get it working better?

So I bought a ModMic 4.0 to attach to my HD650.
But thing is, the mic-in ports on my pc are really crappy.
And the o2/odac i bought doesnt have a mic in.
What would be the best way to connect this mic to my pc?
Thanks.

Resolved!

Add any sound card to your PC, use it's line-input (mic) jack.
(disable the on-board audio, in the BIOS.
The ODAC should still be the default audio output device.

Or buy a USB microphone
