man, sorry to hear that. These fakes can be found everywhere. I would rather bought from authentic seller, than dealing with "counterfeit". I did bought 1TB regular from Amazon previously, and it was at $235 or so, but it turned out to be a fake. I got stuck at 400Gb, and then everything went "poofs"... luckily I had it within the return windows, and so it was refunded.

However, my Extreme pro now which I have, already have 985Gb filled up full of my collection

I must be going crazy hehehe! Never thought I say a fresh OEM v3.02 from the result of factory restore sounds better than I remembered. I'm so hooked up!

Compared to before attempt to fixed my 1A sound issue. The official v3.02 may sound more muddier. Less resolution, vocals clarity, and not as anology or organigy.

I just tested a fake extreme pro card and the sound is thinner, less clarity, dryer, and less bass. LOL!

i awoke this morning to find another planet to explore. Something happened to my Romi 1z yesterday, it is strange that the burn in took that curve but it has opened up the sound like a sealed bottle of champagne! The sound is now more lively and elevated I hear more treble sparkle and bass is very BG feel. Something I was hoping to hear from day 1 but it happened yesterday. Its like a contrast of black/white, from yesterday to today it did a swing of 180 and burn in effect has completed I was not sure what was happening I contacted Romi and he explained me that was the burn in process completion here is hes quote on this
"
- BG caps idle more than 20 years, the cap inside have crystallization, so it need very long time to burn in.
- After burn in the frequency response maybe get high, everything will sound loud and clear.
- Bg caps need at least 1 000 hours according to customers feed back! "

So as you can see guys, my 1z/romi was in the oven baking for 24/7 none stop and I have recently hit the 700 hour mark! and This kaboom happen in sound! That is simply amazing beyond what I was even imagining!
I am so happy that my romi finally opened it self and my hard working investment and the long waiting time has all paid off at the end!
I was at a verge of doing the wrong decision and thank god I went over it !


I do prefer my romi over 1a+ for sure, the sound that romi offers is very clear natural and effortless. I love the bg bass sound its really addictive. Treble got a little more sharper Thanks to the pure silver cable that I have inside its all smoothered and not piercing. What can I say a pure pleasure!


PST: I forgot to mention I do use the new fw on my romi the 1a+ and it brings it even to a higher level of pleasures and bliss

Samsung Pro Endurance micro sd card is very good. It add thickness to the sound overall. Bass is very punchy. Vocals is so clear, natural, anology, and good weight. It adds depth, air, darker background, very nice separation and soundstage is very large.

We should start a compendium to rank sdcard for their subjective sound quality.

Yes I've done quite a few external Antenna Bluetooth, It means you can have the full copper back, have a better bluetooth signal than stock and use what was the bluetooth area inside for a nice big Audio Note power cap. Oh and an actual use for 3.5mm output
