[Conkers]

I have some ATH-EC7 SV headphones and love the sound, but I can manage without the constant untangling of the wires and as I wear them at work, I sometimes neeed to pull them out of my ears to answer the phone etc.

I also have some JOS headphones that hang on an integrated neck cord, and whilst the sound isn't as good as the audio technicas, I find myself using the JOS headphones as they are versitile and easy to pull out and simply hang nicely around my neck...

So I got to thinking, what would the consequenses be if I removed the JOS cans from the wires, and put the audio technica cans on the JOS neck strap/wires?

I asked a local hifi store and they were worried about being able to solder the wires on/open the audio technica cans and so on... and it seemed like an expensive chance to take, that I might destroy both sets of headphones.

Has anyone experience of changing cans, fitting new wires like these? Any tips or advice is appreciated.
