I've searched and found no up-to-date conclusive information on this.
My Kit: Rio Karma (stolen) > custom portable amp > triple-fi
My Rio was an excellent player, but since I got pick-pocketed in London, I'm in need of a replacement. I'm looking for a player with a proper line-out i.e. it bypasses the on-boad volume control and EQ. I am thinking about an iPod Nano or classic, but would like to know if there are any alternatives. I don't want to mod the player to get line-out, but I would consider something that needs to be docked to deliver line-out.
If nothing comes up, I wll just go for a Nano or Classic, so I would like to know your opinions on the sound quality of the latest models.
