If it's like on other forums (I mod on IGN), then the moderators can ban, edit, and if need be block your IP address. Admins are above mods.

Admins can make users mods, delete accounts, make forums, and etc...

On IGN, mods can't read a user's PMs but an Admin can.

I assume it's about the same here.

I'm sure that you would find that we can do less than you think. For example, I can't even get myself bumped up to 1000+ Moderator status.

Oh, and if you keep asking all of these questions, you'll wake up one day and find that you've got a hairy gorilla butt for an avatar.

Admins can do pretty much anything, from changing a post to banning someone's ip. Mods can only edit post + little things and have access to the "secret" forums.... yeah I know coz I have access to another forums's private area too.

Unlike some of the other forums, Head-Fi doesn't have "Admins" and "Moderators" -- there's Jude (owner) and the mods. Mods here have less overall power than an EZboard admin, but more than an EZboard moderator.
