Hi all,
I have this question: it is possibile, as it happens with ipods (classic and mini) to mod sony's dap to improve their storage or to do something others? I searched for a while in the web without success.

Thanks all!

Sony players use flash chips soldered to the circuit board while the ipod classic and mini use small hard drives which just plug in so are very to replace.

In theory it might be possible to unsolder the chips and add larger ones (if the firmware is stored on a different chip so remained on the player, and the firmware knew what to do with the extra storage) but realistically no-one is going to risk killing their player to find out because the pins of memory chips are either tiny, hidden or both.

It's not going to happen I'm afraid - you're stuck with whatever storage Sony gave you.
