Modding an old DAC

If I were to get something like this and rip it apart, would I be able to completely redo it and putit in a Hammond case in conjunction with a Meta?

I no the power would be aproblem, as it needs 12v, and that could be supplemented by some batteries.

But, could it work? I know I'd have to do a lot of unsoldering of parts and attaching new fixtures that can run to an audio input switch for the Meta.

Should work, as long as it doesn't draw too much current. If you wanted to get fancy, you could get one of those big 1/4" SPST n/c jacks for analog input, and have it switch off power on the DAC.

and be careful about linking to ebay photos showing Tara Labs interconnects...
