I have a lonely, unused Sophia Baby amp in my rack. (Moved on to ASL monoblocks for my monitors.) I've ran across some threads from other owners mentioning that they've used the stock speaker outputs with headphones.

I have some Beyer Dynamic DT770's arriving soon. These are 250 ohm cans.

1) Can someone point me to a thread on how to do this?
2) What kind of wattage resistor should I be looking to use to run in parallel on the binding posts?

Thanks.

Cool. I'll pick some 10W'ers when I can make it over to Fry's.

My does not have any headphone output, sadly.

I actually contacted Sophia and they hadn't heard of people trying this. Heck, it was worth a shot.

Put some 8.2 ohm 10W together today w/ a cheap Ratshack headphone extension cable. Doesn't look pretty, hence you'll never see me build my own Bottlehead. Did a quick test w/ my amp, ipod and some IEMs.

Works! Now still waiting for my DT770's to arrive from UPS. Oh the wait...
