I love my Atrios but the cables are starting to get stiff from age and reacting to body salts. The drivers are still perfect. At some point they're gonna be hard to work with. I had this happen to the original "Ears" universal IEM's.

Contemplating a mod to make the cables replaceable using the UM1/Livewires style cable cause of its superior micro phonics properties and it's built quality.

If I could do this I think I might go for the custom fit sleeves too as they would be a good long term solution. As it is now they only last a few years and then they're shot.

Good luck if you can access the drivers. The wire entering the casing is embedded in a silicone material acting as a seal!

I believe you might destroy them in attempting to reach the drivers.
