I see Beyer's going for the sort of "****ty Sony DJ phones" look. I think silver sucks for headphones. Unless the headphones are HP-1000's of course

Yeah, but think about how many people out there buy shiny pretty headphones because how they look and not how they sound

It's a decent idea if you ask me, as long as they aren't overcharging.

I love the industrial look of Beyers headphones, especially the 770pro etc... but some shiny blingbling headphones will definately appeal to some people, which will spread the name a bit more.

Looking at those headbands gives me the impression of an industrial AT.

Can't wait for reviews. The Deutch seem to be busy; Senn is releasing the HD650 soon then Beyers drops a new lineup. We'll be hearing from Jan soon.

They seem to be redesigns of the DT770, DT880, and DT990 with a more stylish look. The DTX770 makes that all too obvious by its model number alone.

ahh what a crapy looking design

plastic sucks!

i think the DT line beyers holds the crown of professional, elegant and functional design, which has been in my mind until i saw them. this is the true style, folks.

Agreed with most of you - new Beyers look cheap. Hope they end up being of higher quality than they appear.

The Beyerdynamic UK site has a few specs on the DTX line:
http://www.beyerdynamic.co.uk/beyer%20pages/hifi.html

Supra-aural, lightweight, inline volume control, low impedance, highly efficient. Surprisingly though, all three are described as "open" phones.

Anyhow, based on their specifications, I'm sure these new phones will have a rather low selling price.

see the promotive picture at the top of the page?
"oh we get to be so cool if we buy phones of the DTX line, wow!"
if beyer put out a new line, when they already have a great quality line, it's because they want some money. commercializm sucks.
and they'll suprise me if it's really good.
